kindness
when i first came to Battambang almost 5 years ago i spent lots of time at a local orphanage. because of some difficult circumstances 2 years ago we have not been able to go in regularly since then.
yesterday was one of the rare opportunities we had to go in and play some games with the kids. it was so amazing.
i was tired. i had a million things on my list to get done and i was feeling overwhelmed by all of it and not looking forward too much to having to go and do this.
then we got there. and i heard all my little friends calling my name and i saw all their faces and how much they've grown since we last spent time together. and i saw how they still remembered all of what we've done with them and how much we loved them and they loved us. and we played games together and sang songs and heard stories and danced and it was so amazing.
one point as we were playing i looked around and saw all of their precious faces and it made my heart happy. God is so kind.
