Salvation is here. . .

Now, first things first before I burst- four of the girls in my small group at the orphanage decided to follow Jesus today. I know one of them was definitely serious about it too because she said she wanted to, listened to what it meant and then said she wanted to pray right then. She began repeating what was said and three of the other girls joined in. I am so excited that God is moving in so many ways. This afternoon at the youth center two students decided to follow Jesus. And this morning at our Christmas program at the hospital one of the patients also decided to follow Jesus.
A month or so ago when we were praying we really felt like God was saying he was going to do huge things over this last month of the quarter. We are down to having just a few days left and God is showing up in amazing ways. God is so good.
One of Bee’s resolutions for next year is to tell more people about the good teachings of Jesus. He is not a Christian yet, but when I talked to him about it he’s not so sure he wants to be a Buddhist any longer. His family is Buddhist, but he doesn’t know if he likes it. I look at him and realize he doesn’t stand a chance because God’s already captured him.
One of my monk students said he’ll be a monk for maybe one year more. Then he is planning on becoming a laymen (a follower of Buddha without wearing the robes or living at the pagoda.) He was open to the possibility of becoming a Christian. He just doesn’t know. He thinks Buddha was a wise man who taught a way for him to live his life that is good. Oh for the day that he will see all the good ideas Buddha taught really originated with God.
I think sometimes I forget their decision to become a Christian means changing almost everything they have believed before and very much so goes against their families and their society. But Jesus really is the truth and we cannot forget that God is also so much bigger. . .

You will see so much more of Him before your 15 months is over! Just wait until you begin to see those that you have brought to Him bringing others to Him! What amazing joy that will be!
