Christmas at the Hospital

Christmas at the hospital was an amazing success because God did what he wanted. There were so many people there when we first came out and they were ready. Even my really sick buddy came out and waited for a while. The problem was the electricity was not turned on in the pavilion and our whole program mostly revolved around using the sound system so the different groups could dance. . . We talked to the patients and we lost some who wanted to get their lunches, but eventually we started without electricity. We learned to sing O Come All Ye Faithful and we played Down by the Banks (one of their favorite games for some reason.) And Umong shared something about Christmas. The men working on the electricity got everything fixed and back together and we had our music at the end though- so they performed their beautiful dances and we passed out presents. . .
It did not look like we originally imagined it would, but there was something sweet about the conversations we were able to have with the patients and the people there that would have been missed if we had come in with our program, done it and then left. And at the end one person chose to follow Jesus, so that is always good. . .
